Bayelsa occupies the second from the last (1,097 persons), with Lagos State the least on the list (1,013 persons). Personnel of the Service Commission of the Police have already been assigned to all the States and Abuja.
In an address to the Staff recently in the Federal Capital(Abuja), The Permanent Secretary and Commission Secretary Mr. Musa Istifanus revealed that the Commission would not recommend any questionable personnel for the exercise.
He revealed that the actions of the personnel would be constantly assessed during the sequence of their activities in the program. Moreover, the Permanent Secretary said that the candidates for police recruitment should be of good conduct, and also cautioned non-participants to stay clear of the screening centers.

- Every candidate should own a valid ID card (driving license, voter card, international passport)
- Applicants for Constable positions should have credits in the English Language, and Mathematics
- Cadet Inspector Candidates must have Advanced Level, Ordinary National Diploma, National Certificate in Education.
